Revaluation 2005All commercial property was re-assessed for business rates as with effect from April 2000. As a general rule appeals can be lodged at any time, although there are time constraints effecting check back dating of business rate refunds. It is intended that rateable value will be assessed on a five yearly cycle so painful increases are likely for many occupiers in 2005, based on rental levels prevailing in April 2003. |
