Self-sufficient local government: 100% business rate retention

The Government has issued a consultation on business rate retention and reform of the current centralised system. The Government has plans for 100% retention of business rates income by the local governments and authorities. Traditional Parisian bistro opens in Southsea

Cheese and Cheers Ltd have taken a new lease on Osborne Road, Southsea formerly, the home of long established restaurant Barnaby’s.

Following a move from France, the proprietor Nadine decided to take the plunge, opening a unique Parisian style bistro serving a variety of traditional breads, cheeses and wines sourced using her local knowledge.
